Renowned polar explorer, and Wisconsin native, Eric Larsen is embarking on an unprecedented journey to the North Pole, South Pole and summit of Mt. Everest all in one year. The goal of his expedition is to document the last great frozen places on the planet while promoting ways to reduce carbon emissions and global warming.On Wednesday, May 20th at 6:30 p.m., an expedition fundraiser is taking place at the Cedarburg Cultural Center. Money raised from ticket sales and silent auction supports the non-profit Save the Poles Expedition. Larsen will show a multimedia presentation about his upcoming journey. The band Michael Lee Ammons & the Water Street Hot Shots will entertain and hors d’oeuvres will be provided.
Event Registration:
- $15 for adults/$6 for students/kids 5 and under receive free admittance
- Free Save the Poles ICE FEST T-shirt and gift bag distributed to first 150 attendees
- In addition to complimentary hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar will be available
